Use the API’s JSON numbers for display. When a supported financial field includes an exact decimal value, use that value for calculations that must preserve every digit. A missing value is never a zero. Check whether the field is omitted, explicitly null, or marked unavailable in trust metadata.

Display precision

Most numbers are truncated toward zero, rather than rounded. For example, 97.9488 becomes 97.94, and -12.345 becomes -12.34. Numbers inside quant_metrics retain their computed precision. Truncated values can differ from their source by less than 1 unit of the last displayed decimal place; adding many of them can accumulate a difference.

Exact decimal values

Trader can return pnl.exact.realized and stats.exact.total_volume. Positions can return an exact object for each valued position. Each exact value has this shape:
The regular numeric field remains available for display. Do not reconstruct an exact value from it; use the decimal string directly. An exact block or individual value is omitted when its source cannot be verified. Exact position avg_price is calculated from exact cost and shares, and is omitted when that calculation is unavailable. Counterparty executions and counterparty makers also return filled_shares and filled_usdc as decimal strings. Parse these with a decimal type too.

Integers

Pick display strings

Pick of the Day and its archive include formatted strings beside their numeric values. Display the string; use the number when calculating. Archive rows and days have their own display strings. The archive’s hit_rate object also includes: net_profit_display and roi_display round before adding the sign. A result that rounds to zero therefore displays "+$0" or "+0.0%", without negative zero.

Handle missing values

Limits

Display precision does not establish source accuracy. Exact decimal fields preserve their source digits; they do not fill gaps in missing data.
