The deprecated
Follow the returned order and
/api/v1/sports-edge-signals route returns the same data with Deprecation and Link headers.
Parameters

category | A sport bucket such as Basketball, Tennis, or Soccer. A raw Polymarket value such as NBA resolves to its bucket. A value that is not a sport returns an empty list. |
horizon_hours | How far ahead to look for kickoffs, from 1 to 48 hours. The default is 12, and a value outside the range is clamped rather than refused. Games that had already started are never included. |
min_grade | The best grade that must be present on the heavy side: S, A, or B (the default). A needs an S or an A wallet there. C, D, and F answer 400. |
limit | How many markets to return, from 1 to 100. The default is 20, and a value outside the range is clamped rather than refused. |
cursor | The next_cursor from the previous response. |
Key response fields

game_start_time | Kickoff, in UTC. It was in the future when the snapshot was computed. A snapshot is served for about 180 seconds, so a kickoff can be up to about 180 seconds past by the time you read it. |
side, piled_outcome_index | They identify the side with most graded-wallet dollars: index 0 means YES and 1 means NO. Read them with title to identify the team or outcome. Deprecated piled_side contains the same label. |
sharp_pct | The selected side’s share of graded-wallet dollars, greater than 0.5 and at most 1. A value of 0.8 means 80%. |
backed_sharp_usd | The USD amount held by graded wallets on that side. sharp_pct shows the proportion; this field shows the amount. |
s_count, a_count, b_count, graded_holders | How many S, A, and B wallets hold that side, and the sum of the three. |
backing_score | A calculated score for measured backing. The row also carries the same value as the deprecated conviction_score. |
side_share | That side’s share of the graded dollars as a signed number, from -1 to 1. The row also carries the same value as the deprecated smart_score. |
directional_confidence | The share of that side’s graded dollars held by wallets backing one team across the whole game, from 0 to 1. It is null when the read did not run, or ran and classified nobody. |
directional_rank_score | The returned ranking score. Use the server’s order when presenting these markets. |
category_skill | Historical category evidence about these wallets. It is not a probability for this game. |
meta.ranking_source | live normally. db_only means the live holder read was unavailable and a weaker fallback ranking was used instead. |
meta.directional_source | live normally. degraded means the directional evidence was unavailable; do not treat it as a measured zero. |
next_cursor to read the ranked list.
A healthy response comes from a snapshot cached for about 180 seconds. When meta.ranking_source or meta.directional_source reports a degraded input, that snapshot is cached for about 30 seconds instead, so it recovers faster.
When a cursor expires
A cursor stops working once the snapshot it came from is replaced. It returns400 with error.reason cursor_expired and error.param cursor. Request the first page again, and expect no Retry-After, because waiting does not fix it.
A cursor the server cannot read at all is a different 400. It carries error.param cursor and no error.reason.

What it does not return
- A game that had already started when the snapshot was computed. Live markets are on Pre-game side observations.
- A market where the money is split near 50/50. A market with no clear heavy side is omitted.
- Reconstructed history. Coverage starts at launch and counts only the taker buys that crossed 0xinsider’s whale-alert size thresholds.
- The Pick of the Day. That ranker is editorial and separate from this one.
Caching

Legacy default or named integration API key, or OAuth 2.1 access token, in the Authorization header as Bearer oxi_sk_live_... or Bearer oxi_at_.... Default keys retain full access; integration keys are limited to their approved read, webhooks, export and usage scopes and expire within 90 days. All credentials share the owner's account limits. Data calls require an active Pro subscription and return live data. A 401 carries WWW-Authenticate: Bearer resource_metadata="https://api.0xinsider.com/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource" (RFC 6750 section 3, RFC 9728).
Headers
Opt into strict query-name validation. The default is compatible: unknown names are ignored and reported in X-Query-Ignored. With strict, an unknown name returns 400 bad_request with error.reason unknown_query_parameter before the handler runs, including when its percent escape is incomplete.
Available options:
strict Conditional GET validator from a previous ETag. Matching values return 304 Not Modified with an empty body.
Query Parameters
Optional canonical sport bucket filter (e.g. Basketball, Tennis, Soccer). A raw provider value (NBA) resolves to its canonical bucket. A non-sport category returns an empty list.
Page size. Out-of-range values are clamped to 1..100.
Required range:
1 <= x <= 100Opaque cursor from a previous response's next_cursor. Encodes the snapshot anchor plus the last row's directional_rank_score, conviction_score, smart_score and condition_id. A cursor from an expired snapshot returns 400.
Kickoff ceiling in hours from now; the floor is now (only games not yet started). Clamped to 1..48.

1 <= x <= 48Minimum trader grade required on the piled side. Only S, A, B are accepted (the piled-side grade distribution is S/A/B only; C, D, F return 400). Default B means at least one S/A/B holder is piled; S requires an S holder, A requires an S or A holder.
